School is a coursework workspace: your classes and what is due on one side, and a guided way into CruxAI help on the other. Open it from the sidebar, or School in the bottom bar on a phone.
Tutor or Answer
The Response style switch at the top of the page is the important setting:
- Tutor — CruxAI works through the problem with you, one step at a time, so you can follow the reasoning and do the next one yourself.
- Answer — CruxAI gives the result directly.
Tutor is the better default for anything you will be tested on. Answer is useful for checking work you have already done.
Classes
Add a class with + in the Classes pane. Each one holds a name, an optional subject, teacher, and room, and a color so it is identifiable at a glance in the assignment list.
Assignments
Select New assignment and give it a title, a class, and a type — Homework, Worksheet, Essay, Research, Reading, Project, Quiz, Test, or Other. Add a due date and time, set the status to Not started, In progress, or Completed, and mark it High priority to have it stand out.
Four counters across the top show Due today, Next 7 days, Overdue, and Completed; selecting one filters the list. You can also filter directly by Upcoming, Today, This week, Overdue, Completed, or All, and search assignments by name.
Getting help
The help panel opens a focused conversation for the kind of work you are doing:
- Upload assignment — a photo, worksheet, or PDF.
- Ask a question — step-by-step homework help.
- Review an essay — argument, structure, and clarity.
- Research a topic — find and organize reliable sources.
School help runs through normal CruxAI chat, so uploads, mode selection, and conversation history all behave the same way as everywhere else.
Privacy
Your classes and assignments are private to your Crux account. If a family account has parental controls in place, those apply here as they do in the rest of CruxAI.
