Crux Cloud gives you two independent safety nets: Trash for files you deleted, and version history for files you changed.
Trash
Deleting a file moves it to Trash rather than removing it. From there you can Restore it to its original folder, or delete it permanently.
Empty trash permanently removes everything in it at once. That step cannot be undone.
Trash still uses your storage
This catches people out: files in Trash continue to count against your 25 GB until they are permanently deleted. If you have deleted a lot and your usage has not moved, emptying the Trash is what actually frees the space.
Version history
Each time a file is saved — whether you edited it in the browser or uploaded a new copy over it — the previous contents are kept as a version.
Open a file's version list to see the earlier saves, and restore one to make it current again. Restoring does not discard the newer version; it becomes another entry in the history, so a restore can itself be undone.
Which one do you need?
- File is gone — look in Trash.
- File is there but wrong — look in version history.
- File was permanently deleted, or the Trash was emptied — it cannot be recovered. Export or download anything you might need before emptying Trash.
