CruxAI offers three text modes plus an image model. The mode names stay consistent over time while the underlying model quietly improves — and is stronger on CruxAI+.
Text modes
- Fast — quick, general-purpose responses for everyday questions.
- Thinking — extended reasoning for harder questions.
- Pro — our most capable mode, for complex work.
Image generation
Available on every plan, with a daily limit (Free: 15/day, CruxAI+: 100/day).
How Pro mode works by plan
- Free — Pro is a 3-use lifetime trial so you can try our most capable model before upgrading. The trial does not reset.
- CruxAI+ — Pro comes with a monthly budget of 2,000,000 tokens (input + output combined) on a stronger underlying model. The budget resets at the start of each calendar month.
Pro usage is metered in tokens (input + output), the standard way of measuring AI usage. The Pro budget is checked before each request, so a single large request won't silently overspend it.
