Limits are tracked per Crux ID account, not per device. See everything live in Settings -> Plan.
The Free plan at a glance
- Thinking: 30 messages per day
- Pro: 3 lifetime trial uses
- Image generation: 15 per day
- File upload: up to 25 MB per file
- Conversation context: last 20 messages
When limits reset
- Daily limits (Thinking, image generation) reset at midnight UTC.
- Pro trial (Free) is lifetime — it does not reset.
- Pro token budget (CruxAI+) resets at the start of each calendar month.
What happens when you reach a limit
- Thinking daily limit (Free) — in Auto mode, requests fall back to Fast; if you explicitly chose Thinking, you'll see an upgrade prompt.
- Pro trial used up (Free) — an upgrade prompt is shown.
- Pro monthly budget used up (CruxAI+) — a notice with the reset date.
- Daily image limit — an upgrade prompt is shown.
- Sandbox count (Free) — delete a conversation to free a slot, or upgrade.
- Upload too large — a prompt showing the size cap for your plan.
