Notes are a Space's shared written material — meeting notes, decisions, reference material, process documentation, anything the group needs to read more than once.
Writing a note
Select New note and write. Notes support Markdown, so headings, lists, bold, links, and code blocks all work, and mathematical notation is rendered properly — useful for anything technical or academic.
Summaries, not walls of text
The notes list shows each note's summary and expands only what you choose to open. That is a deliberate design: keep the opening lines of a note genuinely summarizing, and the whole list stays scannable.
Pinning
Pin the notes that matter and they stay at the top, and appear on the Space home page. Reserve pins for material people need regularly — the process everyone forgets, the shared credentials policy, the current plan. A dozen pinned notes is the same as none.
Editing and deleting
Notes can be edited after they are posted. Whether you can edit someone else's depends on your role: create notes covers your own, while manage all notes covers everyone's.
Notes vs. files vs. resources
- Notes — written for this Space, read inside it.
- Files — documents with an existence outside the Space, stored in Crux Cloud.
- Resources — links to something that lives elsewhere entirely.
When in doubt, write a note. It is the lowest-friction option and the easiest for everyone to find.
