Account deletion is requested from Data & account actions in the account portal. It is permanent, so it is worth understanding the process before starting it.
It is a request, not an instant erase
Submitting a deletion request creates a pending request — it does not erase your account immediately. This gap is deliberate, and it is your safety margin.
You can cancel until processing begins. If you change your mind, return to the same page and keep the account.
Export first
You can still request a data export while deletion is pending, and you should. Once processing begins, nothing can be recovered — not conversations, not files, not Spaces content. Export, download the package, and confirm you can open it before the deletion goes through.
What deletion covers
Deleting your Crux ID removes your data across every Crux Interactive product, not just the one you are signed into. CruxAI conversations, Crux Cloud files, Spaces membership, and everything else go together.
Before you request it
- Cancel any active subscription. If you subscribed to CruxAI+ through the App Store, cancel it in your Apple subscription settings — deleting your Crux ID does not cancel an Apple subscription.
- Download your Crux Cloud files. A data export gives you the file inventory, not the files themselves.
- Hand over anything shared. If you own a Space others depend on, transfer ownership or make sure someone else is an admin.
- Check what else uses this account — anywhere you signed in with your Crux ID.
Alternatives worth considering
- Want to stop the emails? Turn off product updates in notification preferences.
- Want your conversations gone but the account kept? Use Delete all chats and Reset CruxAI memory in CruxAI settings.
- Want out of a group? Leave the Space rather than the platform.
- Worried about someone else having access? Change your password and sign out all other sessions instead.
