You may be asked to confirm your age when creating a Crux ID or when continuing to use Crux services. The prompt appears at id.cruxinteractive.com and asks you to enter your age before you can continue.
Why it is asked
Some features are age-restricted, and some protections apply automatically to younger users. Crux needs to know which of those apply to your account. The submission is secure and the information is used for access decisions and safety, not shown to other users.
What it affects
- Which features are available on your account.
- Whether family and parental controls apply.
- How content restrictions are set by default.
Where a child account is linked to a guardian, age verification also determines what appears in the guardian's parental controls.
Enter your real age
The protections that follow from an accurate age exist for a reason, and an inaccurate one either removes safeguards that should apply or blocks features that should be available. It is also a term of using Crux services.
If the wrong age was entered
Age is not something you can freely edit afterwards — that would defeat the purpose. Contact support to have it corrected. Explain what happened; a mistyped birth year is a common and straightforward fix.
If you are blocked from a feature
If a feature is unavailable and you believe your age should allow it:
- Check whether your account is a child account linked to a guardian. If so, the restriction may be a parental control rather than an age gate — your guardian can adjust it.
- Check Parental Controls in the account portal, which shows what is currently restricted on your account.
- If neither explains it, contact support with the specific feature you are trying to use.
