Email preferences live in the account portal under Privacy & Notifications. There are three, and they are not equally optional.
New sign-in alerts
Emails you when your account is accessed from a new location. This is how you find out that someone else signed in — often the first and only warning. Leave this on.
Security alerts
Emails you when your password or two-factor settings change. If an attacker has your account, changing your password is the first thing they do, and this alert is what tells you. Leave this on too.
Product updates
Occasional updates about Crux Interactive. Purely optional — turn it off if you would rather not hear about new features, with no effect on your account.
Saving
Select Save Notification Settings after changing anything. Preferences are not saved as you toggle them.
Send a test email
There is a Send test email button, and it is worth using. It confirms Crux can actually reach your inbox — better to find out now than when a security alert fails to arrive.
If the test email does not appear:
- Check spam and junk folders, and add the sender to your contacts.
- Confirm the address on your account is one you still read.
- Corporate mail filters sometimes block automated mail — try a personal address if you administer neither.
Related but separate
The Crux Newsroom newsletter is not controlled here. It has its own subscription and its own unsubscribe link, and turning off product updates does not unsubscribe you from it.
