Your profile: picture, username, and email address

Your profile lives in the account portal at account.cruxinteractive.com, under Profile.

Profile picture

Upload a JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP under 5 MB. Your picture appears wherever you show up to other people — most visibly in Crux Spaces.

If an upload is rejected, it is almost always the size or the format. A photo straight from a modern phone can easily exceed 5 MB; resize it or export at lower quality first. HEIC images from an iPhone need converting to JPG before uploading.

Username

Your username identifies you to other Crux users — in Spaces, and when someone shares a Crux Cloud file with you. It cannot be blank, and it has to be unique.

Changing it changes how you appear everywhere at once. Anyone who knows you by the old name will see the new one, so tell collaborators if you change it.

Email address

Your email cannot be changed from the portal — contact support to change it. This is deliberate: the email address is the recovery path for your entire account across every Crux product, so changing it is handled as a verified request rather than a form field.

If you have lost access to the address on your account, contact support before you are locked out. Recovery is far simpler while you can still sign in.

Privacy and notifications

The same area covers your privacy and notification preferences — which emails you receive, and what is visible to others. See the notification preferences article for what each option does.
